A Conspiracy Toss
This is a lovely picture of Ayala. :D http://ping.fm/SbwEZ
Will reread my notes over lunch. Woke up late D:
I should, but I don't. But who needs to know how to cite, when there's http://easybib.com? :D
Must wake at 8. Goodnight world!
Wow. I've already gone through my papers... Guess that means it's an early (ier) bedtime then. :D
Will sleep at 2.30. Continue studying when I wake up. :)
She was very chirpy for 1AM. Then again, she's nocturnal. As am I. More Zoology then.
@tt @pl Delivering documents to Nicole. I hope she isn't in a bad mood.
Ooh. Just realized it, Ping.FM turned one on March 7, 2009.
Aww... Where's my tale? D:
I love the Dictionary app on my Mac. :D
Meebo sucks. MeeBone isn't much of an improvement (apart from it operating seperate from Firefox that is). It still keeps disconnecting. >:(
Will be dressing my best this week. Last week of school. :D
I seriously wonder how people find me on Plurk or Twitter... :P
I remember once, when I was a kid and my mom used to do our groceries in the Landmark Supermarket, I stuffed shrimp into a random fish.
Testing, testing. Posting from MePing. :D
Adobe AIR is awesome, didya know that?
Echinoderms have carved our a niche as slow-moving, bottom-dwellers with which few marine creatures can compete. I say, who would want to?
Just occured to me. Paper weights have a purpose. In fact, I'm wanting a few right now. :S
Had to check on that. Haha. Opened the Crypt chest thingy on Vampire Wars and got a Psychic minion. :))
I don't want to fail my Zoology Lab finals. >.< Must study!
Purdy-ness!!
Author: P. Cruz
Yeah, after that hiatus, I decided to change ACT's template. Why? Because, I wanted to, and I've been dying to try out this ancient iPhone template. Hah! Besides, re-formatting (in a way, anyway) my blogs has been floating around my To-do list for some times now. Since last year probably, and I'm saying that here, instead of on Shiny, because I tinkered with this thing first and am currently setting up Shiny. Ooh... Purdy... A love that slang. ^^
So, what have I been up to to compensate for my paragraph of rambling?
I just went to G4 to watch National Treasure: Book of Secrets. Personally, I really enjoyed it, much like it's prequel. Loved the puzzles. Loved the intrigue. Loved the cool ruins. Yeah, I for that kind of thing. But we arrived at G4 too early, and since mom wanted to get a haircut (I think it looks kinda like the Beetles hairstyle...), I got to play AS4. I am so not letting that term go. I was able to play last weekend, so my tuning was, well, enhanced.
7-6-6-6-6
My avatar has changed significantly as well, but I wasn't able to take a picture. My car looks pretty much the same. I've finished LoTS 6 times now. ^^ I get the feeling it can only go up to level 10... You know, it's pretty amazing, in V3, I wasn't even able to get past level 2... ^^;; Yeah, shows how much easier Initial D has become.
Anyway, what else has happened to my addictions? Let me list the things...
1. Stickers
After buying Slam Dunk stickers from Comic Alley last year, I started loving those sticky decorative things.
2. Slam Dunk
Have I mentioned that? I don't know, I didn't read this blog before everything else. Well, Slam Dunk, the basketball anime. I love the humour and the art, not from the anime though, from the manga. I watched it first on Animax and fell in love with it that the next I downloaded the manga. So... After like one week I had already read through the entire series. Lol
3. Blood+
4. Saiunkoku Monogatari
5. Avatar: The Last Airbender
The last 3 don't need any more elaboration.
IDAS and Saiunkoku Monogatari Update
Author: P. Cruz
Whee~
IDAS, as to tuning:
6-5-5-5-5 for my RX8
I bought an Evo3, and compared to my previous cars, it handles very differently. Also, I had to spend 50, 000 points, because I accidentally chose the AT option instead of the MT. Damn. At first I found AT near impossible, but I realize that it's just a matter of getting used to it. In the end, my conclusion is... AT sucks. When you turn and loose speed, AT doesn't automatically shift the gear back down to compensate and fix your acceleration, instead it lags, unless you shift down, or drop to a speed where it shifts down automatically. I don't know if it was just me or Akina Lake, but when I shifted down once, it would drop two gears. And that won't do as your speed drops drastically.
Anyway, as I mentioned, I switched to MT, and it feels just right now, back to tuning my RX8
Akagi UH - 2'50
I know it really sucks, but I was stunned at the beginning, because I swear, I chose Akina, not Akagi, so when I was starting, I didn't shift up immediately. So, that pretty much screwed up my time. *sigh*
Akina UH - 3'20
Not very fast either, but I'm not pushing myself much here.
Akina DH - 3'15
Or somewhere around that time.
Irohazaka DH - 2'57
Not impressive either. Actually, I don't have many, or any, impressive times. After all, considering how much I play, that isn't surprising.
Tsukuba IB - 2'56
My "supposed" specialty.
Tsukuba OB - 2'57/8
I don't remember.
Saiunkoku Monogatari rules! I am officially over Initial D... until 5th stage comes out that is... ^^
Man, I miss this thing...
Author: P. Cruz
I really do. Staring at you and typing to my heart's content, usually till the wee hours in the morning, before mother dears rouses herself from her dark sleep to see your lighted screen and me, clicking away. *sigh* I miss this keyboard. Internet cafes cannot compare to this familiar layout, nor can they imitate this sunken chair, which aligns my eyes with the lower half of your screen. God, I miss you. My dear Internet connection.
Damn you, PLDT. You've made us wait long enough. A month. A whole month. Grr... Rar... *shakes fist* The thing is, just yesterday, I said to give PLDT till the end of the month, if the PLDT dudes don't come through, we'd switch to Globe, or something. Now, here I am, hyper, after drinking a Peppermint Mocha Frap. Mmm... Mocha ain't too bad when you get used to it, although I do prefer chocolate.
Ah, I miss this randomity, not that "randomity" is actually a word.
Oh, well. I'm so happy, though I was in a pretty bad mood after we checked our Algebra papers. I hate those stupid mistakes. They were so elementary. Ok, not really, but it was pretty stupid. Grr. Anyway, I'm straying from the purpose of this post. ... Whoa, it has a purpose. That's new.
Lemme see, updates, updates. As I am updating (looking for updates) for Firefox, I will type up what I've been up to for the past month or so.
New fandoms!
Colourcloud Palace is turning out to be very fun and funny. I enjoy the little tidbits of Chinese proverbs they insert into the storyline. Actually, one of the guys there reminds me of Ryousuke (from Initial D, not that there's any other Ryousuke at the moment). He doesn't look quite like Ryousuke, but I suppose it's his arrogant expression that makes me think of the Ice King.
Concerning Initial D... I feel it fading, my fandom for the anime. Not quite the manga though. There hasn't been anything new, anime-wise for more than a year now, so I feel bored watching episodes again and again. The manga is still pretty exciting though. I'm waiting for updates from Project, 86? I'm not sure what the number is, but it's Project something. Not D. :P
So, what has replaces Initial D in my heart? Only Snoopy and Blood+. Hah. I love their pretty eyes and cool species powers, but I'm not too much of a fan of Saya. I think she was stupid. I don't see why she couldn't understand how her sister was feeling, heck, I could. And at that point, I hadn't even been able to watch too much Blood+ yet. I'm talking about the second to the last episode, where Saya kills Diva. *sob* Divaaa... Lol.
There's this new anime on Animax, Le Chevalier D'Eon. My reaction is... "Eh..." I'm not too sure how to feel about it. The plot appears to lead to a very complicated one, but it isn't appealing to me right now. Apart from the interest stemming from Blood+, I'm not too into it.
Now, to talk about ID4. Fine, I'll stop using AS4. Bleh!
My current tuning is 5-4-4-5-4. I think. I'm going to have to renew my card the next time I play, and I'm feeling very nervous about it. I don't want to get that feared 403 error, everyone dreads. Wah... I've already finished LoTS 4 times, and my RX-8 is getting closer and closer to that FT status. That is my current goal, after that I intend to FT my S2000, and then make an Evo3 then FT that.
Actually, yesterday, as I was driving home and silently cursing the jeeps in my way, I saw an S2000, a white S2k with it's top down. *sigh happily* I wasn't able to get a good look at it because there were several vehicles in my way (read jeeps and taxis), but I am certain that it was an S2k. I don't doubt that as I've stared at my ID4 S2k enough to know what it really looks like. :P
Whee~ And that concludes this long post.
The Real-life God Foot
Author: P. Cruz
Yesterday, I sneaked off to G4 go get a few rounds in and beat God Foot and Keisuke. Hoshino was easy, easy as ever anyway, but Keisuke was a bit of a challenge at level 3. So far, I've got a number 3 on my card. Keisuke keeps pushing me away from my line so I have a hard time accelerating properly when bam he hits me and I hit a wall, and have to PC just to get my speed up to level again.
Either way, I beat him. I figure, you have to block him until those long straights end, and you're home free.
Anyway, where's the real-life God Foot, as my title suggests? Well... There's this guy, and his son (whom he calls Michael, or however you spell his name), who visits G4 with obscene amounts on their card. Usually, whenever I check their load it's always at the P500 level, at it wasn't their first play either.
I saw the pair again yesterday, playing on the machines. (I think they started AS4 the last time I played, actually.) They were racing on Myogi, and the kid kept downshifting to 2 or 3 at corners, making his speed drop. I wanted to correct him, but kept my mouth shut. When it became apparent that they weren't going to leave any time soon, I asked the dad to go next. He said sure, and whatever. Overall, he's a nice (old) guy. When I sat down and got to racing God Foot, I was staring at Hoshino's avatar, when it struck me. They looked alike. Damn. *glance* Yeah, they sure do. Even down to the flabs.
Anyway, they transfered to the v3 machine and some guy went over and raced (or at least tried to) Takumi on Akina. I glanced at his time, '25 was his best, and had to keep to myself again.
Keisuke took a bit of practice to beat, but I got him in, say, 4 rounds. After that, I had to leave, so hurried away, but I was as I always am. I keep my ears open to whatever I can hear, so I have the tendency to, well, hear stuff.
Yesterday, I heard what I thought I'd never hear. There were, like, three guys standing behind the cab I was occupying, and apparently they were watching me. One of them said something like, "Galing niya, ah."
O.o
Rofl. Thanks, dude, whoever you are.
That reminds me of those Chinese guys. When I was racing Takumi on Tsukuba once, probably the previous time I raced him, they were commenting on my race. Lol. I'd say they were comparable to tho Nakazato and Shingo during the Takumi vs. Ryousuke race on Akina.
I ♥ Driving
Author: P. Cruz
As in in real life, mind you.
My mom let's me drive to and from school nowadays, and I love it. I absolutely love being my mom's driver. I have to wait about seven months before I can get my non-pro license. At least by then, my mom will trust me enough with the car, as she will have been riding with me a lot by then.
It's my car now! Bwahaha.
Itsuki's right about one thing... Driving goes make you feel that you can go anywhere... Although you can't actually... XD
Finally! Organization!
Author: P. Cruz
Yesh, a compilation of interests for the purpose of organization... I think it could stand in for the subtitle. Yay!
Initial D tuning:
4-4-4-3-3
Only 2x plays left before I have to renew... I'm scared... I don't want the 403 error. Then again, I noticed a Timezone guy suddenly behind the ID4 machine when I guy was about to buy a card. Was that standard procedure for them? Dunno. Anyway, I just realized last weekend that those who work in arcades get to play for free. Dang, makes me want to apply.
Got the black princess hair for my avatar. Also, I didn't realize that I hadn't gotten a hood for my RX8, so I got one. Yay... (What is with this hyperactivity?)
Tsukuba OB: 2'58
- Yay! I hit that time while playing against level 3 God Hand.
My Initial D Experience
Author: P. Cruz
Yeah, finally, I've decided what to put here... Fandom stuff... And right now, it's mainly Initial D, with Blood+, and Avatar: The Last Airbender thrown in. That is, for "anime". And maybe a dash of anything else that is related to fandom. Including books, and games. You may think that it'd only be Initial D, but nooo... Boxhead!
Yeah, lame, I know.
Right now, I'm concentrating on my gameplay, which my mom just commented on yesterday. She says I'm spending too much on IDAS, and I'd have to agree. But dang, that's the only way to get faster... No matter how much I try to think it through, the only way to improve my times is to get behind the steering wheel and bang the pedals.
Yeah, now my avatar is finally relatively cute. And my car... *insert heart icon here*. Too bad that you can't notice the hood... Neither can you see the Emperor sticker at the back... Oh well.
About 50 plays left, and I'm not that fast yet. I'm not crazy about TAs, although I still do them, but I take note of my times during LoTS.
So far...
Akina Lake - 2'50
- just not sure which way around it is...
Akagi DH - 2'50
- pathetic, I know, but that was a one time attempt, just because I was bored tat the moment. Next time, I'll try it again, with some seriousness this time.
Akina DH - 3'18
- with that time I barely beat Takumi on level 2...
Irohazaka DH - 3'00
- I can't master the wall rape technique yet... This is where ver. 3 still has a grip on me...
Tsubuka IB - 2'59
- just broke the 3 minute barrier yesterday, but I still need practice.
Tsukuba OB - 3'00
- see? Practice needed.
Somehow, it feels oh so slow for a 3-3-3-3-3 tune...
Anagrams - Love them!
Author: P. Cruz
Did you know that this site's name is an anagram?
A Conspiracy Toss = Sarcastic Snoopy
And at school, if I'm known for one idiosyncrasy, it's my habit of bringing my ancient stuffed toy/plushie, I'm no longer sure of the difference, to school. Now how often depends on my mood, based on the silent occurrences at home, which in turn vary from silence to silent anger. Either way, the only sound you'll hear in my unit is the sound of my computer blaring my tunes at max volume.
Dial in Fita = Initial D Fan
Now, doesn't that explain my new aol email address. Actually the whole reason I made an account there was so that I could check out what went on in those live-chats of the IDW forums, no more, no less. But, I did, in fact make that up before that point in time, so no it was not extemporaneous. While my mother was still taking up that Medical Transcription course, I found myself with so much idle time on my hands that I just made it up.
Wry Operator = Rotary Power
Unfortunately, I wasn't the one who came up with that. Mr. Online Anagram Maker did. Either way, it's totally cool and suits the man in my avatar perfectly.
Miss Teak Ikea = Kei's a mistake
Here, I'm purposely being mean. He wasn't an accident.
Emperor = More Rep
RedSuns = Nerds Us
Night Kids = Kind Sight / Skid Thing
Impact Blue = Team Public
Now, if you haven't gathered by now, you can see the answers by highlighting the text. Btw, I don't take credit for these (for searching for them yes, for making them no, apart from the dialinfita one, though).
- will make more posts on this in the future when I can find my list of words to anagram.
Twenty Minutes
Author: P. Cruz
What can a person do in a meager 20 minutes, you may ask. A whole lot actually. You can review (cram, actually) for an exam and manage to pass because of that twenty minutes. Twenty minutes may not seem like much in the long run, and it probably isn't, but what you can do within twenty minutes can change what the rest of your life could turn out to be.
Not that I have any experience in that, though.
Musing about what I could put here made me write that randomness.
To tell you the truth, I fixed this layout within 20 minutes, taking the code from it's ancient source though. :D
Now, what to do with this...
Fan fics?!
